Getting It All Done Tip for Wellness Pros: A is for Attract

Rockstars align with their vision to attract success...and always look inside to what is possible.

When I first started coaching wellness pros, I was always surprised by how often petty little dramas would pop up right at the exact moment when they were going to launch (or relaunch) their business. The kids got sick, the roof leaked, a friend needed them, they developed a mysterious food allergy, their computer froze up and died, their husband needed nursing through stomach flu, and so nauseam (please, excuse the pun).

At first, I would be patiently understanding and appropriately comforting. Now I know better. It happens every single time. Just when you are about to launch that website that is a perfect expression of what you do, you find a way to unconsciously sabotage yourself.

It’s okay...perfectly normal. (It happens to me, too!) Keep breathing, and keep going.

This drama before the launch is not a sign to stop. It’s a sign that this is exactly where you need to be. You’re nervous about it (maybe even terrified), but this is a not a sign to have to get through this.

The same goes for self-sabotaging anything new in life, especially a new level of success. Everyone does it to themselves. So do your best to lighten up about it. Make yourself laugh if you can. Have a good cry. Take a deep breath and then keep going. Otherwise, you will spend the rest of your life putting out fires of the little (and sometimes not so little) dramas instead of getting on with the business of helping others for a living.

Break free of your stinkin’ thinking.

This is not optional. You must do this. You must have a way to continuously release habits of thoughts that are no longer serving you.

There are many ways to do this. Find something that works for you and make it a practice that you regularly incorporate into your work hours. This doesn’t have to be a long, therapeutic process. (Wellness pros love personal development, so you have to watch out for staying in the place of analyzing and processing everything.)

The fastest way to start seeing a difference is to start speaking, thinking and acting as if what you want (success!) were on its way. At first, it will feel like you’re pretending. But soon enough, your subconscious mind will start working on your behalf instead of on your limitations. Then you will start seeing positive results.

Here's to your healthy success and ongoing prosperity!
